Become a Friend of the Museum
Support the preservation and growth of The Rifleman’s Museum by becoming a Friend—a meaningful way to ensure that our heritage is cherished for future generations. As a Friend, you’ll join a vibrant community, stay connected with the latest museum news and activities, and enjoy exclusive benefits.
Membership Options
We offer two categories of individual membership (separate terms apply for corporate membership—available upon request):
Annual Membership
A donation of £30 or more, payable annually, quarterly, or monthly via banker’s standing order, grants you annual membership. In special cases, payment by cash or cheque is also accepted.
Lifetime Membership
With a one-time donation of £500 or more, you can secure a lifetime of benefits as a Friend of the Museum. Donations can be made via cheque or by gifting qualifying investments such as shares or securities listed on the UK Stock Exchange.
Exclusive Benefits
As a Friend of The Royal Green Jackets Museum, you’ll enjoy:
- Free Admission: Unlimited free entry to the Museum for yourself and a guest throughout the year.
- Shopping Discounts: 10% off all Museum shop purchases valued at £5 and above.
- Biannual Newsletter: Receive our exclusive newsletter every spring and autumn.
- Event Discounts: Reduced ticket prices for special Museum events.
- Exclusive Excursions: Opportunities to participate in exclusive trips and events for Friends of the Museum.
As a charity, The Rifleman’s Museum Trust is able to recover a substantial additional sum from the Inland Revenue in respect of each life and annual membership donation – currently 25p for each £1 donated by Friends who are taxpayers and who sign the appropriate Gift Aid Declaration. Friends who pay tax at the higher rate are able to claim higher rate tax relief. Donors of “qualifying investments” may qualify for income and capital gains tax relief. If unsure, professional advice should be sought.
