The Rifleman’s Museum is embarking on an exciting new chapter—and we’re inviting you to be part of it!

Our ambition is to create a bold, immersive new gallery that explores the formation of The Rifles in 2007, following the amalgamation of four proud regiments including The Royal Green Jackets. Through powerful objects, personal stories, photographs, oral histories, and interactive displays and activities, visitors will discover the regiment’s role in modern conflicts, life beyond combat, acts of individual bravery, and the enduring rifleman ethos that continues to define the regiment today.

This £500,000 redevelopment project will transform outdated displays into a fully accessible, interactive experience for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. New digital elements will allow veterans, families and the public to engage directly with recent history, while preserving the experiences of serving and former Riflemen for future generations. Most of the Museum will remain open throughout the work, with the new gallery due to be officially opened in early 2027.

Thanks to a £218,000 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the work has already started—now we need your support to help us go further.
